Moonlight Lane

Nanette and I love to walk hand-in-hand in the moonlight, and "Moonlight Lane" is our long-overdue romantic walk through the English countryside. Moonlight, with its dramatic moods and colorations, its rich, transparent shadows, its warm lemon-yellow highlights, is a challenge and a delight. In this painting I was particularly pleased with the way reflections of moonlight and of the illuminated cottage interior mingle in the puddles.
